Welcome to St Charles Borromeo Catholic Primary School and Nursery

As the Head of St Charles Borromeo, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our school website and I hope you find the information available both informative and useful in beginning to get to know our school community.

Nestled in the heart of Weybridge, St Charles Borromeo is an excellent one-form entry primary school and, while we are a small school, we have great ambitions for the children in our care. With our buildings physically joined to Christ the Prince of Peace Church, our Catholic identity is an integral part of who we are and central to how we live as a school community. Working hard alongside the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton, as well as the Xavier Catholic Education Trust we guarantee that the high ambitions we have, for all of our children, come to fruition. These partnerships provide us with an outstanding range of educational experts, resources and opportunities, to ensure the best outcomes for our children.

We have high expectations and standards in all aspects of school life, and we encourage children to try their very best and work hard.  We value individuality and diversity and recognise the precious and unique nature of everyone in our school – children and staff alike. This, coupled with an enriched and balanced curriculum which aims to give our children the life skills to tackle the challenges that the future may bring, ensures that our children are equipped for life beyond school.

Our aim is not simply to provide an outstanding academic education, but to develop in our pupils an understanding of their own religious and spiritual formation. Beyond this, demonstrating respect for spiritual and Gospel values, within a caring Christian community, the sharing of their individual gifts and talents is a key part of recognising the importance of our service to others, particularly those most in need.
